Winter exploration in and around Jackson Hole on a pair of snowshoes is incredibly easy and allows access to stunning Teton views and abundant wildlife in Jackson's nearly unlimited backyard. Try the rolling terrain in Grand Teton Park or the steeper terrain on Teton Pass. Signal Mountain and Shadow Mountain are good places if you're looking for some uphill without getting into serious mountainous terrain. The season for snowshoeing varies greatly depending on elevation, slope, aspect, and weather but typically ranges from December to March in valley bottoms.
